We have indeed created man in the best of moulds

"He Who has made everything which He has created most good." — Quran 32:7

"Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias." — Quran 82:7

"We have indeed created man in the best of moulds." — Quran 95:4

"But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit." — Quran 32:9

These verses are very concise, and each word carries a specific meaning within a certain context. They tell us that Allah created the human being in the right proportions, that whatever He creates is in the best image, and that He breathed into him of His spirit to bring him to life.

That means we are the custodians of His spirit. The honor of a guest is reflected onto the house, and the guest's perfection makes the house perfect as well. Our body is a guesthouse where the soul stays for an appointed period of time. Our physical bodies are a trust from Allah, and we are accountable for how we look after our health.

Therefore, every individual is responsible for her or his own health.

Heart attack symptoms women often miss

Chest pain

Stomach pain

Stomach pain

The most common symptom, but women may feel it differently than men. It can be a squeezing or a fullness rather than crushing pain, and it can sit anywhere in the chest, not just the left side. Women often describe it as a vise being tightened.

Stomach pain

Stomach pain

Stomach pain

Easy to mistake for heartburn, the flu or a stomach ulcer. Other women feel severe abdominal pressure — as though an elephant were sitting on the stomach.

Sweating

Stomach pain

Trouble breathing

It feels like stress sweating rather than the perspiration of exercise or hot weather. If you don't usually sweat that way and there is no other reason for it, get it checked out.

Trouble breathing

Pain in arm, back, neck or jaw

Trouble breathing

Breathlessness for no apparent reason can mean a heart attack, especially alongside any of the other symptoms here. Women describe it as having run a marathon without moving.

Unusual fatigue

Pain in arm, back, neck or jaw

Pain in arm, back, neck or jaw

Feeling extremely tired even after sitting still for a while. Many women describe a tiredness in the chest and find that simple things, like walking to the bathroom, become too much.

Pain in arm, back, neck or jaw

Pain in arm, back, neck or jaw

Pain in arm, back, neck or jaw

More common in women than in men, and easy to dismiss when you expect the pain to be in your chest and left arm. It can come on gradually or suddenly, wax and wane before turning intense, and wake you from sleep.

Feel heart attack symptoms? Do not wait. Call 9-1-1 — never drive to the ER.

Health changes frequently sneak upon us. Sometimes the changes are so trivial, we don't even notice a change in our health at all, until they start to affect our ability to do the things important to us. Some of the diseases like high blood pressure and diabetes are known as silent killers. 1 in 5 US adults have high blood pressure and 1 in 4 have diabetes. Unfortunately, majority do not know that they have diabetes and/or high blood pressure, may start as early as age 20. Further, more than 1 in 3 Americans will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.

By raising health awareness in the community about important health issues can reduce ill-health and premature deaths from diseases that are treatable, especially many kinds of cancers. If cancers are caught early by screening, when it is easier to treat, and the five-year survival rate is more than 90%. Hence, 'health awareness' is essential for prevention, early detection, targeted therapy and is key to ensuring most effective treatment. “Timely, age & sex related recommended preventive measures can save more than 100,000 lives every year” (CDC).

The Muslim population is growing in the US, not many health-related studies have been done and not much information is available. The enclosed survey is to raise health awareness and simultaneously to study the health status of the Muslim community. This will help in developing health programs in the future to improve the overall health of the community.
